Wayfinders
"First into the unknown."
Members of the Wayfinders are some of the Society’s foremost experts in first contact scenarios. An organization dedicated to fully pursuing the Starfinder Society’s mission statement of exploration, the Wayfinders are at the forefront of each expedition to scan a planet, set foot on an asteroid, or greet a previously unknown species. Wayfinders have a natural passion for exploration, be it through social situations with new species or discovering ancient alien ruins.
Faction Leader: Fitch
Fitch (CN female ysoki technomancer) Fitch is one of the longest serving faction leaders within the Society, having led the Wayfinders for many years. Her attentions rapidly change, and unless she has a specific goal to fixate on, she quickly finds herself taking on far more tasks than possible for her to complete. Several generations of her family also work within the Wayfinders in a variety of roles. With the completion of repairs on the Master of Stars, Fitch is once again without a singular purpose and has struck out with several explorative ventures. As leader of the Wayfinders, she dispatches agents throughout Near Space and the Vast in hopes of discovering lost sites of wonder or contacting new species. Many see Fitch’s recent fixation on managing agents affairs from afar as far less dangerous for her health—not to mention her extended family’s wellbeing!
Objectives: The Wayfinders are paragons of the greater Starfinder Society’s drive to explore the innumerable worlds accessible with the advent of the Drift. They, more than any other group within the Society, focus their efforts outside of the Pact Worlds. Traveling through Near Space and the Vast, the Wayfinders live for the thrill of discovery, bringing their findings back to the Lorespire Complex for proper cataloging and dissemination.
Year 7 Goal: The Wayfinders continue their campaign to explore far-off regions of space, utilizing mobile lodges (including their flagship the Master of Stars). This year, their focus is on the Diaspora and the Vast.
